Cedric Shearer

Cedric Shearer, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on March 13, 2021. A proud veteran of the US Army 101st Airborne stationed in Georgia and Kentucky, he served from 1957-1959. Professionally, Cedric was an options trader and stockbroker. After retirement, he was a Kohl's Associate and a CUBS Crowd Management associate. Cedric was a Cubs fan and enjoyed watching football. He loved to play games and enjoyed a regular card game with his close friends. For many years he would volunteer for Misericordia's Candy Days. This was a charity that was close to his heart. Beloved son of the late Cedric Shearer, Sr and Maybelle Murray nee Shearer, brother to Joan Smallenburg nee Shearer - deceased (Richard Smallenburg - Deceased) and Darcy Hurtgen nee Shearer - deceased. Father of Ben Shearer (Lisa Alvarez) and Nancy Wendt nee Shearer (Courtney Wendt).
