Rosa Valdez

Rosa Valdez, 83, completed her life journey in Forest Park, on December 29, 2019 with her loving children at her side. She was born in Mendez, Tamaulipas, Mexico on October 6, 1936; the daughter of Absalon Leal and Hilaria Martinez, who precede her in death. Rosa attended high school in Mexico. Over time, she would develop a love of spending time with her children and grand-children. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, niece, and friend. Rosa is survived by her husband; Arturo Valdez, children; Art, Martha, Liliana, Sergio, Alma, Rick, and Cesar, siblings; Vitervo, Eunice, Esther, and the late Absalon. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and friends. Rosa and Arturo spent over 64 years of their lives together raising a family and appreciating all that life had given them. Rosa's husband, Arturo, wishes to express his deepest and heartfelt gratitude to the 'team' of friends and family whose support made it possible for Rosa to remain strong through her life's journey. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Fullerton Funeral Home from 1-4 p.m., with services beginning at 3 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Chicagoland Cremation Options of Schiller Park, Illinois.
