Victor Smith, 50, of Champaign-Urbana, passed away unexpectedly on December 9, 2019. Beloved son of Stella (the late Russell Thompson) and step-father Roosevelt Harvey. Cherished brother of Jon (Lynne) Smith, William Smith, Phillip Smith, and Dezarei Thompson, Katrena Thompson, and Russell (Melissa) Thompson. Dear nephew to Jessie Green and Charla Green. Paternal — Loving nephew, also Irene Frame, Lawrence Thompson, and Margaret Thompson. Fond uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Victor established himself at an early age making furniture and other beautiful art pieces while still in high school. He had a love for cooking, and after high school he went to a culinary school to be a chef. He had a great passion for reading and studying the Bible all his life.
