Aaron Evan Baker

Aaron Evan Baker, of Evanston, Illinois, passed away on June 23rd, 2026, at the age of 65.

Born on August 17, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, Aaron spent his life connected to the Chicago area and was known for his dedication to both his work and his family.

Aaron shared 46 years of marriage with his wife, Stephanie Jill Lane. Together they built a life centered on family and lasting partnership.

He was the proud father of Laura Myracle Baker.

He is also survived by his brothers, Matthew (Eileen Calvert) Baker and David (Carrie Chapman) Baker.  He is survived by a loving Stepmother, Debbie Baker, who encouraged and supported Aaron as a child and nurtured his dreams of becoming an attorney and an academic. He is also survived by a host of family members, aunts, nephews, nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as loving cousins from both sides, paternal and maternal.

Aaron was a longtime Staff Attorney with CARPLS Legal Services, where he dedicated many years of service helping others. He was also a member of Phi Delta Theta, University of Chicago chapter.

Aaron will be lovingly remembered by all his family, friends, colleagues, and all who knew him.
