Adrienne Penny Meisler

Adrienne Penny Meisler, a devoted teacher and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on 15, 1939, Adrienne dedicated over 35 years of her life to teaching at Chicago Public Schools, where she inspired countless students with her passion for learning.

Beyond her remarkable career in education, Adrienne had a rich array of passions. She loved art and often found joy in expressing herself creatively. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel, exploring new places and cultures. Fashion was another interest; she had a keen eye for style. Adrienne was also deeply committed to activism, advocating for causes close to her heart, and she held a special affection for animals and the ocean.

Adrienne is survived by her loving husband, David Meisler, and her two children, Steven Meisler and Kathy Meisler. She will be remembered fondly by her family and all those whose lives she touched during her remarkable journey.
