Alexander Frantzis, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, at the age of 88. He was born on March 2, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois.
Alexander is remembered fondly by his loving family, which includes his devoted spouse, Dianne Frantzis nee Slatkay, and his children, Tim Frantzis and Sue Thompson nee Frantzis. He took immense pride in being a grandfather to Maddie, Emmie, Jack, and Charlie, who brought him great joy throughout his life.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Alexander was a passionate fan of the Chicago Bears, Cubs, and Bulls. His love for these teams was a significant part of his identity, and he enjoyed sharing this passion with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his siblings: Paul Frantzis, Bill Frantzis, and Olympia Frantzis. Alexander was also preceded in death by his parents, William and Lillie Frantzis nee Billson.
Alexander Frantzis will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy lives on through his family and the many cherished memories they created together.
