Alonzo L. Thomas was born on July 12, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois.
He received his early education in the Chicago public school system and graduated from high school. Alonzo later pursued a career in the education system, where he became affectionately known as the “fun” bus driver.
Alonzo departed this life on April 3, 2025. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Anne R. Harris and James Harris.
Alonzo leaves six children to cherish his memory: Pamela Galloway (David), Rikki Anderson, Larrita Browning (Bernard), Audrey Ann Thomas, Andrew Thomas, and Alonzo Thomas, Jr., six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; as well as a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, and dear friends.
