Ana Sierra

April 15, 1928 — May 22, 2023

Chicago, IL

Ana Sierra, 95, went to be with her family in heaven on May 22nd, 2023. They are now all together and all at peace. Ana was born in the gorgeous and sunkissed Manati Puerto Rico, to father Juan Sierra Ruiz and mother Candida Melendes along with brother, David Sierra. With her beloved husband, Benigo Sierra (2015), she raised six wonderful children: Carmen Sierra, Irma Sierra, Haydee Sierra, Raquel Sierra, Daniel Sierra, and Samuel Sierra (Ruth Sierra). She also counted herself lucky to be surrounded by many grandchildren who always left her joyful. This adored generation includes: Roy Santiago, Maria Sanchez, Abraham Guadalupe, Jose Guadalupe, Liza Michell Torres, Jacqueline Salgado, Daniel Sierra Jr., Joel Sierra, Ruthe Marie Sierra, Nelson Santiago, Mariely Santiago, and Jose Javier Sanchez, who preceeded her in death.

Ana was a proud homemaker, filling her house with love and, of course, wonderful food. One could always find her in the kitchen, creating a plethora of delights for her family and friends.  She was famous for her Arroz Con Garbanzo and Patitas.  She also loved her coffee.
