I was a grad student at U of I when Arnell was there. So shocked to hear of his passing, he has accomplished so much in a life cut off much too soon. My prayers go out to his family for healing and peace.

I send my condolences and sympathy to Arnell's family. I knew him many years ago when he was an undergraduate at the U of Illinois and I was a professor. I knew him to be a really great guy--smart, clever, funny, and very warm. I had completely lost track of him, and was saddened to hear this news. Those of us who knew him will always remember him with much fondness.

Wow. You and I talked so deeply and freely. A real talent in the courtroom. Brother this hurts and shocked my soul.
Rest easy bro.

After just recently learning of this tragedy, it was comforting to share some memories and stories about Arnell with coworkers. The stories reminded me of how Arnell would light up the office with his quick wit and his contagious humor. It was clear that he was a smart, interesting and fun person as well as a dedicated father. My condolences to his family. He will be missed

I met Arnell through a project we were working on at Special Counsel. He had a great sense of humor and was a smart person. His life experiences were broad as he was very knowledgeable about films, sports and was states attorney for some time. He was a devoted father. My sincerest condolences to Anell's family and friends. God bless.

I worked with Arnell for the past several years and was quickly drawn to his humor, his intellect and his commentary on Illini sports. He was always so kind and engaging, and so very much fun to share stories and music trivia with. I already miss his smile, and his presence. My sympathies to his family at this very sad time.

I worked with Arnell the past few years at Special Counsel. I just wanted to say that he was a great guy who was really smart and a pleasure to work with. He was also my friend, and I will miss talking with him about movies, sports and everything else. I feel very fortunate to have crossed paths with Arnell in this life. My heart goes out to his family, and please accept my condolences for your loss. RIP Arnell.
