Barbara Sawyer-Brown

Barbara Sawyer, 87, of East Lakeview and formerly of South Shore passed away March 24, 2023. Loving wife of Arthura Ira Brown for 37 years. Beloved mother of Scott (Caroline Ghzzi) Sawyer, Elizabeth Sawyer and Jon Sawyer.  Cherished grandmother of Naomi and the late Noah. Dear sister of the late Evelyn Oakmin and Renie (Les) Scopes. Barbara was a Premier Rhodesian Ridgeback breeder since 1965 and a well respected AKC judge. She was most proud of the temperament of her dogs, even though she did very well in the show ring.  She was known for being nonjudgmental of people, and as a judge, only judged the dogs.
