Bogumila Kocol, age 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, January 26, 2021 after a brief period of illness preceded by years of fulfilled life in health and happiness, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 30, 1928 in Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski, Poland, a daughter of the late Wladyslaw and Leokadia Galka. She moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1979.
Bogumila was preceded in death by her husband, Boleslaw Sasal, her son, Wlodzimierz Sasal, her second husband, Henry Kocol, and her sister Anna Ulanowicz.
Bogumila is survived by her son Janusz (Krystyna), her daughter Ewa (Darek), her daughter-in-law Grazyna; her 5 granchildren, Sylvia (Jarek), Anne (Adam), Sandra (Nick), Philip, Veronika (Lukasz); her 5 great grandchildren, Victoria, Timothy, Isabella, Kalina, Liliana; her 2 brothers Aleksander (Maria), Grzegorz (late Maria), as well as many other loving family and friends.
Memorial Mass will be held at St. Constance Catholic Church (5843 W Strong St, Chicago, IL 60630) on Saturday, January 30th, at 11am.“
