Carl A. Braack

Carl A. Braack, 83, of Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully on October 3rd, 2025.

Loving husband to Diane Braack for 61 blessed years. Beloved father to Judith Brennan. Adored grandfather to Gina Brennan. Dear brother to Evelyn (Tom) Bailey, and the late Margaret Ann Braack. Devoted son to Irvin H. Braack and Marie Braack (Freudenthal). Treasured uncle to Lori Ann Schreiber, Kathleen Sapienza, Donald Dal Moro, and the late Debra Komrofske. Cherished cousin to the Ivaska family. 

Carl loved his black lab, Beau. He enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Carl was a passionate carpenter and a graduate of Washburne Trade School, and a proud member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 181 and Local 58. His career spanned over 50 years.

Visitation will be held ahead of the funeral mass on Saturday, October 25th at 10:30am at St. Celestine Catholic Church at St. Mother Guerin Parish. The funeral mass will begin at 11:00am, with inurnment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleums directly following the mass.
