Carol Hallak

Carol Anne Hallak (nee Stachura), age 73, of Chicago, Illinois passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026. Carol graduated from Mother Guerin High School in Chicago, where cherished lifetime friendships began. She was a parishioner for many years at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Chicago and a member of the school’s PTO. Carol was a long time valued employee at Petersen Brothers Plastics in Chicago.

Carol will be remembered for her creative soul, as she often immersed herself in numerous hobbies; knitting, painting, coloring, wreath-making, reading, and more. She was a well-known member of her community—participating in games of bingo and sharing her artful creations with those around her. She will be remembered for her humor, legendary card playing, and passionate listening skills.

Carol is survived by four supportive brothers, Michael (Jorie) Stachura, Robert (Mary) Stachura, Paul (Cheryl) Stachura, and Daniel Stachura; her daughter, Reyeh (David) Aguilar; four loving granddaughters, Lainey (Michael) Fort, Gabriella (Abel) Ochoa, Ivis Estrada, and Beda Estrada; four great-grandchildren, Mateo, Amelia, Liliana, and Sebastian, along with ten nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and great nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Jeannette (Dishaw) Stachura of Sagola, MI.

Carol will be missed by many, and continued to be loved and remembered by her family. There will be no service, but her wishes will be honored in an agreed upon and creative fashion by her granddaughters.
