My Dearest Carolyn,
You are everything that is beautiful and everything that is good. My memories of you start at age 5 when my mom and dad became members of the 19th Century Club. 60 years ago! My mom quickly found forever friends there and you both formed a strong bond and also included my dad and Ray. So many afternoon teas I remember.
The glorious parties at your house and my parents house. Those are the fondest memories. Then we began our friendship in my twenties. Shopping together and many visits. In the later years when my parents died, we joined you and Jane and Top Peterson at the OPCC. Those were laugh-filled nights!
As a tribute to you and my mom, I still remain a member of the 19th Century club where my parents met the most amazing and truest of friends. Doug and I have treasured you all our lives.
My parents, George and Gloria Messner, admired you, respected you, and greatly loved you. We will miss you and keep you in our hearts and mind forever. God’s blessing on your family.
