Charlene F. Lehst

Charlene Florence Lehst, age 71, of Chicago, Illinois passed away unexpectedly on Sunday evening, July 5, 2026.

Born on July 8,1954 in Chicago, Charlene lived her life marked by resilience, kindness and compassion. Charlene always thought of others and was always willing to help out when needed. She enjoyed music, animals, entertaining in her home with friends and relaxing with a good word search or crossword puzzle, and treasured the quiet moments they brought her. She loved getting together with family, especially her cousins and on phone calls, she never failed to ask about everyone in the family and how they were. Charlene will be remembered for her warm heart, her sense of humor and the love she shared with those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Blanche Fairfield.

She is survived by her beloved son, Karl, her devoted longtime companion, Ronald Crawley, her dear friend Homer Rivera, her cousins, including Mary Ellen Husa and many other friends and relatives who will cherish her memory.

A celebration of Charlene's life will be held at a later date.
