Charles Paul Barker

Charles Paul Barker Jr., 78, of Evanston, Illinois, passed away December 6, 2025, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. A US Marine Corps Veteran (Vietnam), formerly of Stelle, Illinois, native of New Orleans, Louisiana. Beloved husband of Alyce Barry. Loving father of John Paul (Carissan) Barker and Nicole C. S. Barker. Cherished grandpa of Aidan, Brooke and Emma Barker. Dear brother of Joanne (the late Jay) Gianelloni, Charlene (Chuck) Forman and Mary Beth Cooney. Loving "Grandpa Paul" to stepdaughter Joanna (James) Burke and their children Westley Juliette, Anthony and Edmund. Fond uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Fine Arts graduate of University of Dallas, cabinetmaker, author. Muralist best known for realistic scenic murals and dioramas for zoos, aquariums, museums, restaurants and theme parks, including for the National Museum of the Marine Corps, and in the Chicago area for Brookfield and Lincoln Park Zoos and major science museums. Memorial services to be announced.
