On Monday, November 21, 2022, after a long illness, Colleen Ann Jeffries, 74, of Chicago's Irving Park area and formerly of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away surrounded by her loving family.

She lived a happy life in Iowa and Chicago with her beloved husband Joel for 40 years and was the loving mother of Paul (Marilynn) Jeffries. Colleen was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Russell and Gladys on September 21, 1948 and was the cherished sister of Larry (Linda) Anderson, and aunt to Ryan (Lindsay) Anderson and Stacy (Ian) Fleming, and loving sister-in-law to Kala (Kent), Lyle (Karla) and late Faye (Jeff).

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Montrose Baptist Church located at 4411 N. Melvina in Chicago at 1:00pm. The service will be followed by a gathering for family and friends in the community center.
