Cornelia "Cory" Kirby (née Peacock)

Cornelia "Cory" Kirby (née Peacock), 86, of Northbrook and formerly of Winnetka passed away surrounded by family on June 3, 2021. Beloved wife of the late John A. Kirby (2002). Loving mother of John (Sue), Bill (Anna), and Anne Marie (Dave) Gerhardt. Cherished grandma of Kaylee, Cal, and Carson Gerhardt, and the late Christopher (fiancee Ashley Conard) Kirby and Great-Grandmother of Rogan Kirby. Preceded in death by her brothers Stewart and Charles D. Peacock IV. Fond aunt, great aunt, and friend to many. Cory was the 5th generation of Chicago's oldest jeweler C.D. Peacock est. 1837. Graduate of New Trier High School and former student of Florida Southern University. Avid antique collector and proud member of the women's Questers Antique Club. A celebration of her life is scheduled for June 19, 2021 at 10am at St. Giles Episcopal Church, 3025 Walters Ave., Northbrook, IL 60062. Private burial at a later date.
