Cynthia Louise Ewert, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on August 4, 2025, at the age of 68. She enjoyed a rewarding career as an elementary school teacher for 32 years, along with serving as an adjunct instructor at the College of Lake County and McHenry County College.
Cynthia cherished her time traveling, golfing, reading, and skiing, but her greatest joy came from spending quality time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, William Robert Ewert; children, Laura Nell (Benjamin) Hall and Quinn Richard (Courtney Gabbert) Ewert; grandchildren, Easton Ewert, Tenley Ewert, Galen Hall, and Forrest Hall; as well as her siblings: Susan (Michael) Maifield, Don (Daphne) Davis, Leslie (Steve) Schroeder, Karl (Becky) Davis, and Dori (Don Becker) Sullens-Becker.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Bobbie Davis, and her parents-in-law, Robert and Marie Ewert.
A funeral service will be held at First Church, 236 West Crystal Lake Avenue, Crystal Lake, IL 60014, on August 15, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM, with a reception to follow at 7:00 PM.
Arrangements entrusted to Chicagoland Cremation Options in Schiller Park, Illinois.
