Daisy Ruth Williams, a loving mother, grandmother, friend, and longtime owner of a grocery store, passed away peacefully in Chicago at the age of 85. Daisy was born on January 22, 1938, in Arkansas. She will always be remembered for her infectious smile, and genuine caring nature.
In her life, Daisy touched the souls of everyone she met and was deeply devoted to her loved ones. Daisy liked going to church and spent most of her free time with family and friends. She had a passion for smiling and laughing that was contagious to anyone around her.
Her love of helping people shone through every day while managing the grocery store and providing exceptional customer service with a warm welcome. However, Daisy's greatest joy came from spending time with her loved ones that filled her heart with happiness.
Daisy is survived by her daughters Eva Williams and Rochelle South - who handled Power of Attorney - along with Rochelle’s spouse Shannon South; three grandchildren: Rapheal Davenport, Rickey Davenport, Shaquita Sims; niece Diane Jones; and two best friends: Minnie Gray and Alberta Davenport.
During this challenging time of grief, we want to remember Leroy Williams (husband), Salma Abernathy (sister), and Charlie Abernathy (brother-in-law) who have passed before Daisy's time.
As we say farewell to our beloved Daisy Ruth Williams, let us remember how much love she shared with everyone around her. We will always cherish the memories and moments we had with her that will remain imprinted in our hearts forever. Rest in peace beloved Daisy Ruth Williams; your legacy lives on through your family and friends.
