Daniel Dwight Pearson

Daniel Dwight Pearson, 70, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away July 4, 2024. Beloved husband of 33 years to the late Sheila Kevin; loving brother of David (Connie) Pearson, Douglas (Carolyn) Pearson and Darryl Pearson. Cherished son of the late Richard Pearson and Elsie Hansen. 

Daniel graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a B.A. in Speech and Performing Arts. He worked as a freelance movie critic for the Daily Southtown for over 20 years, which culminated into hundreds of movie / entertainment reviews and interviews of many celebrities.  He was an avid reader and film buff, and also appeared in several movies as an extra, which he greatly enjoyed. Dan also wrote a lot of poetry, performing frequently at Chicago's Green Mill. In his earlier years, he travelled to over 50 countries and 48 of the United States. 

A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 3-5pm, at the Brynford Bible Church, 5700 N. Pulaski Rd. Chicago IL 60646.
