Darnell Louis Branch

Darnell Louis Branch, 72, of Chicago's South Side, unexpectedly transitioned June 14th 2023. Beloved longtime companion of Theresita Hudson, with whom he shared children. Loving father of Tiffany Hudson, Terrence Hudson, Crown Hudson and Myson Hudson. Cherished grandad of twelve. Dear brother of Tammy Shepherd, Gerald Shepherd, Darrell "Tiny" Shepherd, Lois Branch and Charles Branch. Fond uncle and friend to many.

Darnell was a loving father.

Vietnam army veteran and a teacher at Pivot Point Academy, he was a protector and provider for his family who also loved photography. Pride was always found in him shaving his brother's hair and providing to get his sisters hair done. It was always a comical delight to watch him talk about the various neighborhoods he resided in Chicago and some of the times he experienced with friends. He was a soldier and in his life he often implemented a lot of the skills he learned in the military in terms of how to navigate through life. He was a rock and he will be missed

Memorial service to be held at 12pm on Thursday, July 20th 2023 at Abraham Lincoln Nation Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to service.
