David Philip Dilan, 61, entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 21, 2025. He was born to Al and Connie.
David, was a devoted and loving husband, great and loving father, a loving son, loving brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. He loves all God’s creatures, especially dogs; his dog Nelly is missing him so much. He enjoys tennis, swimming, softball and he was a black belt martial artist. He enjoys all sports and was a fan of the Chicago Blackhawks and White Sox (unbeknown to the CUBs fan of the family). David, prefers the warm/hot weather and really dislike the onset of Fall because it means the cold days are coming. He was planning on moving somewhere warm. David, enjoyed his job in radiation therapy and loved his work family, plus that was where he met the love of his life. He was in the radiation field for 34 years. He was a dear and loyal friend to many. He was always there to help and lend a hand. His smile (with those dimples) always warms your heart. He had a great sense of humor, he loved life and always, always his family.
David, is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Maggie, his dearest children Alek and Gabby, his loving mother Connie and in-laws Ewa and John, his dearest siblings, Nora (Kurt), Ariel (Ella), Jacqueline (Bill), and Leo (Sylveena), brother-in-law Jarek (Agnes). He was also the dearest uncle to Quaylin, Michi, Peter (Diana), Keegan (Gavin), William, Daniel, Daria, Connor, Sara, Maya and great uncle to Damien, Sammy, Sofia, and Sheppy.
David's presence in our lives will be deeply, deeply missed. We love you David!
