David Wojcik

David Wojcik, a beloved husband, father, son and brother passed away on
December 2, 2023, at the age of 56. Born on November 15, 1967, in Chicago
and growing up in Park Ridge, David was best known for his caring nature,
loving personality, kind-heartedness, and his willingness to always lend a
helping hand. 
Throughout his career at Home Depot, David demonstrated exceptional
professionalism and dedication to his customers. Through his management of
the Contractor Desk at the Palatine store he formed strong, respectful
relationships, and even friendships, with the contractors he supported.

Outside of his professional life, David had a deep love for fishing and, was
happiest when he had a fishing pole in his hand. Whenever possible, he could
be found with friends and family on a salmon charter on Lake Michigan or on
a nearby lake. Being an lifelong, avid fan of the Chicago Bears football team,
he would eagerly cheer for them during both good years and the bad ones. He
was at his happiest when on a charter boat or critiquing the Bears’ last game.
David leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished by
those who knew him best. He is survived by his devoted wife Kathy Wojcik
who stood beside him through thick and thin. David's daughter Alina Wojcik
held a special place in his heart, and he took immense pride in all that she has
accomplished. His brother Mark Wojcik (Abby) provided lifelong support and
friendship.
David's parents Bob and Irene Wojcik nurtured him with unwavering affection
throughout his life. Their constant encouragement shaped the compassionate
individual that David became.
As we mourn the loss of David Wojcik, let us remember the impact he had on
our lives. He will be remembered as an exceptional person who always went
above and beyond for others. His loving presence will be deeply missed;
however, the memories we shared with him will forever remain etched in our
hearts.

A Private Family Service will be held December 16th, 2023, Celebration of Life to follow for all friends and family at the home of Mark and Abby Wojcik from 4-8 pm.
