Debra Hopkins

Debra Ann Hopkins, 59, went home on November 7, 2023 after a tragically brief battle with stage 4 liposarcoma. Though she grew up in Kansas City and was a lifelong Chiefs fan, her heart was in Chicago where she lived the last 28 years. Debra is survived by her fiancé of 18 years, Frank Turi, her sister, Kristen Whitford, her brother, William (Stacey) Getz II, her father, William (Chris) Getz, her Grandfather, Ernie (Rachel) Kumpf, her gratefully spoiled nieces and nephews and lucky cousins, aunts and uncles. She spent her time here throwing her arms around the whole world. Always loving, helping, protecting and cherishing everyone who asked or she just thought might need it. She will be missed and remembered forever for the beautiful joy she gifted to all those who knew her. 

A Celebration of her Life will be held November 18th, 2023, at 10 am at Center Pointe Church, 401 N. 78th St. Kansas, KS.
