Dianne Aceto, 64, of Waukegan, IL passed away on March 23, 2021 at
Northwest Community Hospital (NCH) in Arlington Heights, IL. The year 2020
was a very difficult year for an independent and resourceful Dianne. She
suffered a stroke and then the death of her only son Jeffery Aceto. Dianne’s goal
was to get physically healthy, dispose of all material belongings and return to her
native home of Bury St. Edmunds, England by the end of 2021. Her health
deteriorated in January 2021. During her last months she was in Vista Medical
Center, Waukegan, two nursing homes and NCH. Dianne would never return to
her Waukegan home. She died from an aggressive metastatic cancer.
Dianne had a love of nature and life. She found wit and humor in everything, her
laugh was infectious. She was an artist, very creative in the arts of painting,
photography, writing and publishing.
Dianne is formerly of Lake Bluff, IL, and Texas. She is the beloved daughter of
Sybil Thorpe (the late Andrew Shorter) Palmer; cherished Nana of granddaughter
Amy; sister to brother Adrian and sister Linda; and mother of daughter Emma
and son, the late Jeffery Aceto..
She will be dearly missed by her family and so many friends.
