Douglas Michael Hayes

Douglas Michael Hayes, 65, of Palatine and Fox River Grove at rest October 3, 2022. Loving husband of Donna Yeiser Hayes for 42 years. Cherished father of Jessica (Kevin) Hillinger, Joshua (Kristin McCullough) Hayes, and Kaitlyn (Sean) O'Deay. Beloved grandfather of Ella, Matthew, Ethan and Anelise Hillinger, Nathan, Lindsey and Caleb Hayes, and Delaney, Addison and Kennedy O'Deay. Dear brother of the late Debbie Hayes Johnson. Fond friend to many. Longtime Sales Engineer retired from Superior Industrial Equipment of Sycamore, Illinois. Member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Doug loved to live life to the fullest. The great adventurer.   Whether riding dirt bikes, snow skiing, water skiing, mountain climbing, bicycling, parachuting, and racing his convertible, there was nothing he couldn’t accept as a challenge.  He loved his family his friends and his God fiercely!  No one didn’t know what sustained him through his illness….his eternal view of what was to come.
We will miss him but it’s not good bye just see you later in heaven Doug!!

Arrangements entrusted to Chicagoland Cremation Options of Schiller Park, Illinois.

My life is richer for having known Doug.
We worked together at Superior, and I recall a trip that we took together to a supplier in Canada. I nice, if long drive each way, but it is always nice to know someone else that is not afraid of, and is proud of his Christianity.
I have the sure hope that the first words Doug heard in his new life were "welcome home, my good and faithful servant".
Rest in peace Doug.

Doug was one of the nicest people I have ever met. He left us way too early

We love Doug dearly and look forward to seeing him again and enjoy worshipping our beloved Jesus together and forever. Meantime we know he is finally in the arms of the one he loves and having the best day of his life. You finished well Doug.
