Elizabeth "Liz" Bertuca

Elizabeth "Liz" Bertuca, 56, of Downers Grove and formerly of Oak Park, Illinois, after a 20 year long battle with MS went home to be with our Lord April 28, 2023. Liz grew up in Oak Park where she attended Judson Baptist Church and Calvary Memorial Church. She loved the Lord and had a giving spirit. Liz was independent, loyal and hard working, raising her children the best that she could as a single mother. She was an avid foodie and known for her cooking and baking. She loved the color purple and the Chicago Cubs. She is fondly remembered for her beauty, wearing purple eyeshadow and mood lipstick as part of her routine. Elizabeth is peacefully at rest and no longer suffering.

Loving mother of Brittany (Rich) Jessup, Dru (Ashley) Yost and Gianna (Ray) Menard. Devoted 'yaya' of Alexis Rain, Richie, Isaiah, Audra, Stella, Joshua, Layna and Luca. Dear sister and friend to many. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her adoring parents Byron and Beatrice Powell.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, May 6th at 11am at First Baptist Church of Downers Grove, 929 Maple Ave, Downers Grove, IL 60515. Luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elizabeth's memory to First Baptist Church of Downers Grove https://fbcdg.org/giving/
