Elizabeth Shean

Elizabeth Shean, 103, of Church Creek Senior Living, Arlington Heights, IL, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2022 after many beautiful years of life.

Elizabeth was born on April 8, 1919 in Oran, Missouri. Not many can claim to have lived over a century but the wisdom she imported with her family will not soon be forgotten.

After graduating high school, she worked to support her family as a Dental Assistant. She had many passions in life including playing women's softball, bowling, golfing, cards with the gals and watching the Chicago Cubs. Her signature dishes were adored by family and friends alike!

She married a wonderful man, David Shean, whom she spent 55 years of her life with. Elizabeth and David went on to have one child, Donna Nehf.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her brother Hoyt Patterson, his wife Gladys and her brother Alan Patterson and his wife Thelma. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Nehf & son-in-law, Jesse Nehf, and her grandchildren: Laurie Nehf Matheiu & Bud Matheiu, Julie Nehf Christoffer, Brady & Nicole Nehf, Jason & Laura Nehf. 

Services will be held at Holy Family Church, 2515 W. Palatine Rd., Inverness, IL 60067, on December 10, 2022 with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the funeral mass at 10:30am to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Saint Jude's, an organization Elizabeth felt strongly about.
