Ella Mae Kirkeeng

Ellie Mae Kirkeeng passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025 at her home in Crystal Lake Illinois. She was 75 years old.

Ella Mae was born Dec 24, 1949 in Woodstock IL to Quinter and Pauline Martin. She grew up on a farm in Woodstock IL, attended Woodstock High School and graduated in 1965. She and her husband Duane were married on October 15, 1972. at the Evangelical Free church of Crystal Lake. Duane and Ella Mae are survived by their two sons and their wives, and four grandsons. Their son Ron and his wife Mystele have two sons, Logan and Isaiah Kirkeeng. Their son Kevin and his wife Joyce have two sons, Nolan Kirkeeng and Griffin Butler.

Ella Mae had a kind soul and loved spending time with and serving her family. She loved to cook Sunday and Holiday Meals and have her family over to enjoy. She was famous for her jello salads, pot roast and mashed potatoes. She would always cook more than enough food. Despite her constant struggles with her health throughout her years, Ella Mae carried a contagious air of love and joy with her. Ella Mae was a devoted follower of Christ and attended the Evangelical Free Church of Crystal Lake for many years.

Ella Mae was preceded in death by her husband Duane Kirkeeng, sister Mary Lovelady, her parents Quinter and Pauline Martin, and many aunts and uncles.
