Elvia Bouso, age 67, passed away on October 21, 2022. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring sister, doting aunt, and loyal friend. A kind soul, Elvia opened her doors to strangers and provided unconditional support to anyone who may need them. Determined, Elvia completed two graduate degrees in counseling and education to pursue teaching, a passion she dedicated her life to for 23 years. She loved her students, staying in touch with them years after they had passed through her classroom.
Simple pleasures brought Elvia joy - a home-cooked meal, upbeat Colombian music, and an evening with family and friends. Elvia’s compassionate nature, generosity, humor, zest for life, and kindness will be missed by those who were blessed enough to know her. We will honor her every day by living life to the fullest - as she had.
Elvia is preceded by her husband Jorge and is survived by her children Michael (Rica) and Jennifer, her siblings Rosalba, William (Nana), Jaime (Gloria), and Hector (Valerie) and nephews and nieces Gustavo, Alexandra, Jonathan, Andres, Katherine, Carolyn, and Jacqueline.
