Ester Mae Starks

Ester Mae Starks, 81, of Chicago, Illinois, formerly of Kosciusko, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on July 14th, 2026.

Beloved daughter of the late Allen Greenwood and Lottie D. Greenwood. Loving wife of the late Joseph Starks. Loving mother of Jerry Lynn, Henry Greenwood, James Watkins, Lisa Watkins, Latoya Watkins, and Roblynn Starks. Cherished grandmother of Gerard Lynch, Rashwanda Grant, Dion Stewart, Latrelle Greenwood, Brenton Bradshaw, Delisa Hills, Carerra Watkins, Pierre Greenwood, Megan Greenwood, Jenelle Watkins, Torien Watkins, and Jamar Watkins. Dear sister of Ella Haley, Priscilla Wingard, Willie Greenwood, and Allene Watkins. 

Ester had a career that spanned decades at the American Spanish Institute. She loved singing in the choir, antiquing, and was a missionary for the Lord. She will be fondly remembered and missed by all who knew and loved her.
