Eugene Mangiantini

Eugene (Geno) Mangiantini, formerly of LaGrange Park, passed away peacefully on August 29th, 2023, at the age of 90. Loving husband of (the late) Patricia (nee Durack), father of (the late) Thomas (the late Elizabeth), (the late) Michael (Doreen), Judith (the late Andrew) Troiola. Proud grandfather of (the late) Angelo, (the late) Thomas Jr, Michael (Cecelia Horne), Marisa Mangiantini, Tyler (Micheala), Nicholas (Katherine), Jonathan (Abby) Troiola. Brother to (the late) Joyce Mangiantini, Brother in Law to Barbara (Douglas) Petrousek. Uncle to Daniel (Nicole) Petrousek, Cori (Keith) Valenti.

Eugene served in the US Army from 1953-1955, then joined his father in the family business, Reno’s Service Station, in Lyons. He was always involved in his kids lives, and enjoyed time with his grandchildren. He had many groups of friends, from coffee with the guys at the “office”, to lunch with friends at Portillo’s or lunch with the car club at Buck’s Pit Stop.
Everywhere he went, he either knew somebody, or became friends.
Geno will be missed by everyone that knew him but especially will be missed by his family.

There will be a celebration of life on October 28th, from 12pm-3pm at Buck’s Pit Stop
