Felicia Denise El-Aton

Felicia El-Aton, born September 2, 1972, in Chicago, Illinois, to Ivy Jones and Jerry Kimbrough, passed away on July 16, 2026. She will be remembered as a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and caregiver, cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Felicia was a Licensed Practical Nurse and dedicated healthcare worker for over 20 years, serving her community with compassion, skill, and unwavering commitment. Beyond her professional life, she brought joy and warmth into every space she entered. She was a talented stepper and dancer, known for her graceful movements and vibrant spirit. She enjoyed shopping and had a special love for decorating, always adding beauty and personality to her surroundings. Above all, Felicia treasured time with her family, finding her greatest happiness in their presence.

Felicia’s legacy lives on through her loving family: her devoted son, Demetris Jones; her daughters, Dorothy James, Derise James, and Destiny El-Aton; and her beloved grandchildren, Jaylen James, Cayden James, Da’Zay Bankhead, Raheem Holt, Da’Riyah Bankhead, Darren Parker, Denim Parker, Hannah Kao, Tamia Jones, and Prynce Jones. She is also survived by her mother, Ivy Jones, whose strength and love continue to guide the family.

Felicia will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
