Forest Jacob Ruge Whitacre

Forest Jacob Ruge Whitacre left us on June 30, 2026 after 31 years. His unique and brilliant spirit blessed Randa Ruge and Chris Whitacre on April 25, 1995 in San Francisco, California.

Forest graduated from Taylor Alderice High School (Pittsburgh, PA) in 2013. He attended Larry’s Barber College in Chicago, IL. He loved music, street art, and barbering and expressed himself creatively through these passions. He was wise beyond his years yet always youthful and full of life. Forest so enjoyed spending time with his family and being around loved ones. He had a giant heart and always turned his friends into family. With his natural charm and kind spirit, he had a way of making everyone feel welcome and leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. He will be sorely missed and forever loved.

Forest leaves behind his parents, Chris and Randa, his sister Yma and many cousins, aunts, uncle, grandparents and countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center: Chicago or Sunset Youth Services in San Francisco in Forest's name.

A memorial will be held in his honor Saturday, July 11 at 2pm at Mi Ranchito 149 W Commercial Ave. Lowell, IN 46356. Zoom attendance option
