Fred Busse

Fred Busse, 62, of Chicago, Illinois, peacefully passed away March 7, 2026. He was born on June 23, 1963 in Laporte, IN.  He is survived by his beloved life partner of 22 years, Kimberly Johnston; loving daughters Mandie Busse and Autumn Busse; cherished brothers Jim (Chris) Coburn and David (Clare) Busse; nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Fred was preceded in death by his father Adolph Busse, dad Leroy Coburn Sr and mother Ellen Coburn (Belcher), sisters Lynn Hamilton, (Haack) and Mary Feller (Haack), brother Leroy, Jr. "the kid".

Fred had a longtime career in financial services and mortgage banking with KPMG, Bearingpoint and other private entities. He was a loving father to his daughters.  He enjoyed cooking and collecting cookbooks. One of his biggest accomplishments was cooking at one of Charlie Trotter's restaurants. Fred was a die hard Chicago Bears fan and loved to entertain his family and friends.
