Gail Borvig

March 23, 1937 — May 8, 2021

Gail Borvig of Arlington Heights and formerly of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, went home to Jesus on May 8, 2021 at age 84. She was the beloved wife of Paul for sixty-one years. Loving mother of Cathy (David) Strafford and Karen (Craig) DiLorenzo. Cherished Grammy Gail of Harrison (Brittany) Strafford, Krista (Matt) Schroeder, Jacob Strafford, Alec DiLorenzo and Jordan (Yeongseo) DiLorenzo. She was also blessed with two great granddaughters.

Gail earned an Associate’s Degree from Stephens College and a Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern University, where she met the love of her life, her husband Paul. In addition to being a dedicated wife and mother, Gail was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, and friends. She took pride in being a homemaker, working as a church secretary, and being involved in a book club, bridge clubs, and Bible studies.

Gail was a fighter. As an ovarian cancer and breast cancer survivor, she held an unwavering faith in God, resting on the words of Romans 8:28. God’s promises continued to bring her peace in her final years with congestive heart failure.
