George Grey

George Grey, 84, of Tinley Park, sadly passed away October 24, 2026. Beloved husband of Barbara for 62 years; loving father of George (late Carolyn) and Colleen (Jim) Michels. Cherished grandfather of Leo, Veronica, George, Henry, and Gianna. Dear brother of Irene (late Tom) Brame, and preceded in death by Laverne (Jim) Conlin, Robert (Florence) Grey, Bonnie (Pat) Spengler, and Maryann (Stan) Dryier.

George was a devout Catholic. He was a proud graduate of Brother Rice High School. George enjoyed being in nature especially sunshine filled days spent at the Indiana Dunes. George celebrated his 62nd wedding anniversary with Barbara on January 4th of this year. He was a role model of hard work and sacrifice for his family. George was always looking forward to the future with a positive optimistic attitude. He poured on praise to everyone and his sense of humor softened tough days for those he loved.

Funeral mass scheduled for Saturday, October 31st, at St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Catholic Church, 17500 84th Ave., Tinley Park, IL 60487. Visitation starts 9:30am followed by the funeral mass at 11:30am.
