George Loukopoulos

May 29, 1961 — April 3, 2026

Niles

It is with deep sorrow that we announce George Loukopoulos, age 64, passed peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on April 3, 2026.

George was born on May 29, 1961 in Kato Dafni, Nafpaktia, Greece. As a teenager, he arrived in Chicago, eventually making his home in Niles, Illinois. Through determination and hard work, he learned a new language, built a life, and established a successful business. He embodied perseverance, quiet strength, and unwavering dedication to his family.

George was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Anna, and a proud father to his three children: Georgia (Eric), Demetrios (Ioanna), and Spiros (Charlotte). He was a cherished grandfather to Gianna, Faye, George, and Anna, who brought him immense joy. A dutiful son to Georgia and the late Demetrios, loving brother to Kostantina and Vasiliki.

He is also survived by many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched deeply.

George maintained a deep connection to his roots in Kato Dafni, where he remained an important and beloved part of the community, returning as often as he could. Whether in Greece or the States, he built lasting relationships and a wide circle of friends who will miss him dearly.

He had a remarkable ability to connect with others, and to him, no one was ever a stranger. His generosity knew no bounds, as he freely gave his time, support, and resources to those around him.

Family was at the center of George’s life. His love for them was constant and profound. His legacy will live on through them and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A visitation will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, April 9, at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church followed by a service at 12:00pm.

A graveside interment will follow at Ridgewood Memorial Park at 1:30pm.

You are invited to join George’s family for a luncheon at Concorde Banquets immediately following the interment

Αιωνία του η μνήμη. Θα ζει για πάντα στις καρδιές της οικογένειας και όσων τον αγάπησαν.

May his memory be eternal.
