Gerald Joseph Hannigan

Gerald J. Hannigan, Jr. of Mt. Prospect, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2023. Beloved son of Lucille nee Bechtloff and Gerald J. Hannigan, Jerry was born on June 9, 1944, in Chicago. He was a graduate of Brother Rice High School, Loyola University Chicago, and received his MBA from the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University. Starting as a marketing executive at Motorola, he worked and taught marketing as an adjunct professor in the Chicago area.

Jerry is survived by his sister, Mary Lu O’Malley and her husband, Dennis, as well as his nieces and nephews, Dennis Gerald (Suzanne), Beth Ann Brand (Mark), Bonnie Shapiro (Max), and Kevin (Jennifer), and their children. Jerry was quite close with his cousins growing up, the late Frank Gavin (Joan) of Chicago and Don Heineman (Rose) of Chapel Hill, NC.  

Interment private All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL
