Gerald D. Richardson, age 72, of Northlake, IL (and formerly of Brooklyn and Grand Rapids, MI) died on Saturday, November 14, 2020 in Northlake, IL. He was born on July 13, 1948 in Brooklyn, MI to Lynford and Elizabeth (Barrows) Richardson. He was the beloved husband of Diane (Skitka) Richardson for twenty-four happy years. Cherished brother of Carol Harvey, Ken Richardson, Denise Oscar, Yvonne Sample. Sharron Baker, and the late Bonnie Bruner. Loving father of Gina Swavely (Brian) and Brian Richardson (Lisa); grandfather of Len Slone, Jr, Leah Herrera, Laura Slone, and Lomasi Slone; great-grandfather of Kason Slone, Annabella Herrera, Abbigail Herrera, Aubriella Herrera, Alala Slone, Ezekiel Slone, Archie Slone, Adonai Guerrero, Ansley Guerrero, Antonio Guerrero, Karalinda Guerreo, Isidro Guerrero, and Noctis, Guerrero. Jerry worked for many years as a ward clerk for the Salvation Army in Grand Rapids, MI. There will be no funeral or memorial service at this time because of the pandemic. Memorial donations may be made in Jerry’s name to the Salvation Army.
