Gynell Moore Jr

Gynell Moore Jr, born on May 3, 1950, in Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on September 28, 2026.

Born to the union of Gynell Sr and Dorothy (Lee Willis Jackson), First born out of seven,Gynell built a life marked by service and personal interests that brought meaning to his days. He worked with the Cook County Sheriff, a role that reflected dedication and commitment. Outside of his work, he enjoyed music, history, writing, and reading and The Cubs and Da Bears and the Browns. These interests were part of the life he lived and the person he was. He was a very spiritual person and talked about Our Lord and Savior with anyone he encountered he was a Child of God and Highly Favored.

He was preceded in death by father Gynell Sr and children Rahsaan and Leilani whom he adored immensely

He is survived by mother Dorothy, daughter Tavia sisters (Constance) Rashia, and Latayna, brothers Davey and Larry and special nieces Malaika and Rashia and ex brothers in law Rashid and Lewis and long time friends William Hudson and Terry Scruggs and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews friends and other family Guy had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger and was Loved by All.

Guys life will be honored in the cherished memories of those who knew him and in the lasting connection of family and loved ones. May he rest in peace as Guy would say (Don't Be A Guppy)
