Helen Horn, of Elmwood Park, formerly of Chicago, passed away surrounded by her loving family and faithful Comiskey. Helen is survived by her loving daughter, Sarah, and her cherished grandson, Mitchell. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, “Sweet” Marie, and her dear nieces and nephews, Thomas, Mary Clare, Mary Pat, Kathleen, Helen, Bill, Peggy, Michael, Ray, Mary Pat and Cindy along with many great-nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her beloved and adoring husband, Jimmy, treasured parents, Tom and Helen Lally, and in-laws, Bud and Marie Horn, sister, Kay (the late Clarence) Viverito, brother Mike (the late Marie), and nephew Dan. Helen rejoiced in a large, close-knit clan of aunts, uncles, and cousins only the north side of Chicago and Waterford could provide. A fighter from the moment she blew in on the ArmisticeDay “winds of hell” through to her final breath, Helen worked tirelessly for the welfare of others and provided superlative care to those around her. As we reflect on her life, we honor the time she spent with us and the legacy of love and laughter she leaves behind.
