Helen Elizabeth Smith

Helen Elizabeth Smith, 72, left us peacefully November 14, 2025.

Helen immigrated to the U.S. in 1967 from Scotland with her Mom (Isobel) and Dad (Bill) when she was 14 years old. She was a cheerleader, played drums in a highland pipe band, was a highland dancer and never forgot her Scottish roots. She was married to Ben Smith for 20 years. She was the loving mother of Gail (Greg) and Bill and the cherished grandmother “Nana” to Evan William, William Steel, Mario Alexander, Kaylen Isabella, Matthew Luis and dog Pheobe. She loved life, her friends, music and dancing. She was incredibly generous and would give the shirt off her back to anyone. She was a believer in Jesus Christ and read the Bible daily. She was a true Christian and instilled in us “do onto others as you would have done unto you”. She had the gift of gab and would talk to anyone- ensuring they were ok, loved and accepted—unconditionally.Her legacy will live on through the many memories of her family and friends. There will be a Celebration of Life- date tbdFuneral is private.
