Herbert James Sales

Herbert James Sales was born to union, of Robert Lee Sales and Alice Mae Avery in Chicago, IL on January 31st 1933. Herbert attended Betsy Ross and Lewis Champlin elementary schools and graduated from Englewood high school in 1951. He worked at Made-rite Mfg Co from September 1951 until he entered the US Army on the 17th of March 1953. The US Army. Herbert served two years in South Korea and was honorable discharged in 1963. He returned to work at Made-rite where he worked until retirement in 1996. 

Herbert married the great love of his life Miss Hattie Marie Barnes on September 24th 1983 in Chicago, IL. She remains the great love of his life in death and beyond as preceded him in death on November 13th 2012.

Herbert passed this life on March 10th 2025. He was preceded in death by his father Robert and mother Alice; brother Walter and sister Juanita. He leaves behind cousins, brothers and sister in law, nephews, nieces and great nephews, nieces and friends.
