Hilde Schmeichel

Hilde Schmeichel, 88, of Palatine formerly of Germany and Lithuania passed away on May 1, 2022.

Beloved wife of Rolf Dieter Schmeichel for 62 years. Loving mother of Linda (Michael) Bodker, Mark (Gretchen) Schmeichel and Norman (Marcia) Schmeichel. Grandmother of Kimmy (Chris Bouton) Bodker, Kevin (Allison) Bodker, Brandon (Natalie) Bodker, Brin Bodker, Katie Schmeichel, Danny Schmeichel, Jacob (Sabrina) Schmeichel and Joshue Schmeichel. Proud Great Grandmother to Lila June Bodker.

Hilde enjoyed celebrating her German culture, gardening, traveling, baking, hosting for family and friends and her dogs and grand dogs. Above all, she loved her husband of 62 years, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild.  Her dedication and love for her family is how she will be remembered. 

Memorial services will be held on May 21, 2022 at 11 am at Christ Lutheran Church, 41 S. Rohlwing Rd. Palatine, Illinois, 60074.
