Holly Ann Darling

Holly Ann Darling (née Yagoda), 69, of Round Lake, IL and formerly of Wauconda, IL, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 9^th, 2023 in Buffalo Grove, IL. Holly was the devoted wife of Michael Darling, beloved mother of Daniel Darling (Angela Darling), Timothy Darling (Aneta Darling), and Laura (Darling) Burhenn (Brian Burhenn). She was the proud grandmother of Grace Darling, Daniel Darling, Jr, Emma Darling, Lily Darling, Maxwell Darling, Claire Darling, Isabella Burhenn, Margaret Burhenn, and Michael Burhenn. She was the beautiful daughter of Herman and Bernice Yagoda and the loyal sister of Bryan Yagoda and Marilyn Hartman.

Holly was a 1971 graduate of Main East High School. She worked as a church secretary, was a licensed pharmacy technician at Walgreens, and was a preschool teacher for thirteen years. She loved words, including crosswords puzzles, word games, and books. Holly was a huge fan of the Chicago Bulls (especially during the Michael Jordan era) and enjoyed shopping, manicures, and Starbucks. Holly was a wonderful storyteller and enjoyed meeting new people. She never met a stranger. She loved singing hymns. She was a devoted, lifelong and active member of her church, Quentin Road Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, volunteered in the nursery and many other activities.
