Irina Siward

Emblem
Irina was born in Minsk, Belarus in 1964 where she spent her childhood, adolescence and young adulthood. She had fond memories of visiting grandparents in the countryside and picking mushrooms, berries and her favorite, cherries.

In 1989, Irina moved to Chicago and eventually settled in Wilmette, where she became a member and patron of her beloved Chicago Botanic Garden. Irina is survived by her mother, Dora Elkina, her daughter, Juliana Siward, her son, Leonard Colman (Emma Colman) and her grandpuppy, Cheburashka. Irina dedicated her life to beauty and the arts. She worked as a beautician for over 40 years, forging many lifelong friendships with clients and colleagues along the way. A true artist, Irina's creative outlets were interior design, cooking and the never-ending projects and crafts that she did with love for her children, who she claimed were her greatest accomplishment.
