Iris Villanueva

Iris N Villanueva, aged 71, of Humboldt Park, peacefully embraced eternal rest on December 9, 2023, following a courageous battle with illness.

She was the cherished wife of Alejandro and a loving mother to Iris (Carlos) Montalvo Sanchez, Jackie Butler, Lily Montalvo, and Alex (Patrycja) Hernandez. Known affectionately as “Mami/mommy" to en, she held a special place in the hearts of Carmen, Iris L, Luis, David, Jimmy Villanueva, Alvin Franco, Miguel Franco, and Angel Franco. Iris was a second mother to Alvin L Franco Jr and Lisa Marie Franco, and a caring grandmother to Juan Gonzalez, Marc Anthony Gonzalez, Matthew Ford, Jose A Velez, Ariam AJ Quiñones, Lidiris L Vélez, Omar A Sanchez, Michael Sanchez, Mikayla Hernandez, and Leonardo Hernandez.

Beyond family ties, Iris was a dear sister, aunt, and friend, leaving an indelible mark on many lives. Her absence will be deeply felt.
