James Ciechna, Sr.

James Ciechna, Sr. 77, of Sycamore and formerly of Bolingbrook and Pilsen, passed away after a long illness on October 1, 2021. Beloved husband of Judith for 56 years. Loving father of Maureen (David) Shafer, Scott (Kristie), Eric, Tabetha and the late James Jr. (Jolene). Cherished grandpa of Amanda, Timothy, Benjamin, Alex, Dylan, Caitlyn and Robyn. Dear brother of Lyn Ryglowski and Leonore (Don) Czyznik. Fond uncle and friend to many. James retired from the Chicago Police Department.
